An immigrant farmworker and father whose love is expressed through stories, patience, and a quiet strength. His relationship with his son is the emotional core of the film. Actors must be able to speak fluent Spanish. Portrays both Fernando (30s) and Middle-Aged Fernando (40s-50s) with emotional and physical nuance across time.
